Owners, Jimmy's Cypress
Jimmy's Cypress is a specialty lumber company which markets, sells,
manufactures, and ships its cypress products direct to the public, nationwide.
Our history with cypress goes back three generations to the early 1920's. During
that time, Onezime "Bess" Krantz was cutting and selling cypress on his land
along the Atchafalaya River in southern Louisiana. Everyone knew they would get
more than they paid for with Bess. In the 1970's, his son James began milling
cypress in Louisiana, selling it to homeowners and contractors for their
building projects throughout the South. James' son Jimmy spent summers working
alongside Dad from the ripe age of 9.
In 1997, Jimmy founded Jimmy's Cypress, the Internet's largest selection of
cypress wood products. Our headquarters are in Manor, run by Jimmy and wife Emili,
while our manufacturing and distribution are done from mills throughout the South.
